Is it possible that if I'd actually launched Affinity Photo a few days earlier, it would have found an update, even though the update was not posted at on that web page? I don't know. In this case I was told about 1.7.2 when I launched Affinity Photo to respond to a thread (this post: ). One other issue / distinction, maybe: sometimes I check the web for updates, and sometimes I get the update notice when I launch the program. And that’s not all There are so many things to talk about with Affinity Photo 1. So I don't know what is Serif's 'official' release date for the Windows version of Affinity Photo 1.7.2, but I don't think they posted it on August 16, or even shortly thereafter.
